I cannot remember a time where it is all about the cops being killed with no reference at all about the civilians. This is a little weird.

Even if the injured don't want to be identified, the number of injured and their condition is ALWAYS given.

I'm in my 50s, and I don't remember any major incident that was reported on in Canadian MSM where at least the number of injured and their status (critical, non-life-threatening, etc.) was not given.

Yes, usually if it's a domestic issue they don't delay reporting it as a domestic issue, mainly to calm the nerves of the public that this isn't a wider attack on the general population. And so they should do. The more info they provide us, the better, especially considering that we pay their salaries and they're answerable to us.

The media at the press conference were obviously warned in advance not to ask about the identity of the shooter, since no-one asked.

They say the number who are dead.

Still NO info on numbers injured in hospital. I think it's mostly LEO's injured who arrived to the first call @ 7:10am.

It was 7am in an apartment court yard. School isn't open yet in NB. Maybe a few people heading to work ?

Standard procedure. Wait for the shock to die down then release the name if forced to, otherwise it's reported "man, 38 years old from ___ ____". They resist like hell reporting crimes by immigrants making people think they aren't involved in quite a bit of it which they actually are. A local bass player has been identified as one of four people shot and killed by a gunman on Fredericton's north side on Friday.

Donnie Robichaud, 42, was the male civilian victim, according to his cousin and best friend, Sean Callahan, in the shooting that also claimed the life of police officers Lawrence Robert Costello and Sara Burns and a female civilian who has not been identified publicly.

The fourth victim was a woman but her identity has not yet been confirmed.

Though initial reports suggested multiple people were also injured in the shooting, local hospital officials now say only one person is being treated in hospital.

Dozens were not allowed to return home last night. Crashed in a Red Cross facility. I find that very odd. The incident was first thing in the morning.

A 48-year-old Fredericton man has been charged with four counts of first degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of four people in Fredericton on August 10, 2018. The shooting happened at approximately 7:10 a.m. near an apartment building on Brookside Drive in Fredericton.

Matthew Vincent Raymond was charged on the morning of August 11, 2018 with the deaths of two Fredericton Police officers, 45-year-old Cst. Lawrence Robert (Robb) Costello and 43-year-old Cst. Sara Mae Helen Burns, and two Fredericton residents, 42-year-old Donald Adam Robichaud and 32-year-old Bobbie Lee Wright.

Raymond will remain in custody until a court appearance on August 27.

So why did they wait so long to announce his name, because that names sounds like a White man? Can we trust them to tell us the truth on this? They have deviated from their usual pattern of telling us within an hour or so when a White guy commits crime? Hmmm.

Also why was those 2 cops not wearing bullet proof jackets when they went to a shooting spree? I thought that was standard procedure?
