Miriam is a rather old fashioned name, and I could see where a nickname like Molly might arise. Or it could be a different person with a similar name?

Don't believe CR's tale that he blanked out and doesn't remember the details. More likely he's been threatened to not reveal the others involved in Mollie's horror. Of course CR should still get life in prison without the possibility of parole. Was he really acting impulsively and alone?

WHY did Mollie's father believe that she was still alive but being held prisoner somewhere hidden?

Why does it seem impossible that Mollie was close to her dad in a non-sexual way? Why would anyone think that the illegal immigrant was framed? The only name her family has given is Mollie Cecelia Tibbetts, I think they would have used her full name on her death notice if it was different.

A professional PI did an investigation and came up with a Miriam M Tibbetts. Another poster probably made a mistake and substituted the name Marion, as far as I can figure out.

I was just reporting what I read on other sites, including the Chans, and I have no idea if any or some of it is valid or not. Father's ties through his previous employer are suspicious. Although they could explain his ability to get LE focused on finding his daughter and subsequent pap attention.

That probably explains why the whole family are so Liberal, but if she was loved so much by them I don’t think they would have sacrificed her. JS

The assumption online is that some think it's suspicious as to why the father left his company which had major dealings in Haiti 9 days before Mollie was abducted.
