Police release name of man facing 4 counts of 1st-degree murder in Fredericton shooting, identify victims
Matthew Vincent Raymond has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of two police officers and a local couple in Fredericton Friday.

The 48-year-old was charged on Saturday. He is accused of killing Const. Lawrence Robert (Robb) Costello, 45, and Const. Sara Mae Helen Burns, 43, as well as Fredericton residents Donald Adam Robichaud, 42, and Bobbie Lee Wright, 32.

Robichaud and Wright were in a relationship, according to Wright's Facebook page.

Raymond is scheduled to make a court appearance Aug. 27.

The way the media are acting so coy about identifying the guy and Justin Trudeau response to the crime makes me think there is more to these killings then authorities are letting on. If this wasn't a hate crime nor terrorism then why would the prime minister even comment on it and why be slow in releasing the suspects name and most news outlets still refuse to show his picture. Very strange.
