I know a guy like that. He's not smart enough to understand the consequences of acting negatively and although he's not strong. He lives in constant fear of others who project violence.

It's ok to be scared of violent people. Just be aware that they have to resort to violence because they can't really win any other way.

Consider the prison inmate who got locked up for assault, he's scary but he's a product of his environment. His postulations about being intimidating is to deter attack, because he's afraid of whatever could happen to him.

It's said, "If you have to resort to violence then you've already lost." That's because you lack the persuasion to convince the other person that what you want from them is beneficial to them.

The key to dealing with violent people is very easy to master. And I'll tell you what I think it is...

Convince the violent person you are worth something to them. Preferably a lot to the violent person.

Make the violent person realise they derive value from being your companion. That doesn't mean sexually or physically, but rather any one who is smart can become like a deity to people who are simple.

Consider Bernie Madoff, he stole 50 billion using a fountain pen and pie charts.

For a petty felon who is in prison for shooting someone over a few thousand during a bungled robbery, or even 50 thousand as a professional hitman. Someone who stole a million would seem like the king of felons and Bernie's intellect makes him seem like Jesus compared to the less intellectually gifted.

For a person who is much smarter than the average bear, life is one where nearly no one presents a challenge.

Simple because 'ego' only applies the person it is inflicted on, and not to the person doing the inflicting. Good is the person with power, and all that they do. Bad/evil/ego is the weaker party. The person killing the ego has one, in other words, and theirs does not need to die.

You got it wrong. I am hampered in my desire to control you by your will, which is the product of your life experience, your wisdom as it were. I then call your will, your experience and your wisdom your 'ego,' and say it need to go for you to mature. Killing the ego is not something I myself do, it is something that I claim to have done for myself, with miraculous effects, something which you can never understand, being blinded by said ego. You kill the 'ego,' you become obedient to me.

If it is constant - the recognition of the want of being 'better' - then EVERY action and resulting reaction made is naturally influenced by that notion.
