It was XTRA Sports 690 for years, a very successful sports-talk station. The transmitter has always (obviously) been in Tijuana, but the studios in San Diego. It’s a a powerhouse station, broadcasting at 50,000 Watts at night (77,000 watts in the daytime), meaning it covers most of California.
