Watching these, I forever wander & wonder in the eyes & faces of the people, who they were, what their stories were, etc. Some real buffs/sleuths even track down their identities through license plates on their cars, in some of these films. In this case, a ships roster would probably be in order, since most of the cars are taxicabs, from the looks of it.

Yes it was. Its purpose was to be sunk and have that sinking by the Germans be the impetus for the U.S. to enter WWII.

BUT... the Lusitania was torpedoed and sunk in 1915. President Woodrow Wilson had to get re-elected in 1916. In order to do that, he had to run on a "Keep America Out of This European War" platform. He ran on that, and because the vast majority of Americans agreed, he won. But soon after he was re-elected, a massive propaganda campaign was implemented by Wilson and his "agents of influence" (Oy vey!), and within a year of being re-elected, Wilson threw America into WWI.

Wilson was one of the worst POTUSes ever. Possibly THE worst; for a myriad of reasons, of which WWI and his status as pawn of powerful, "monied" interests (Oy gevalt!) was one.

By the way, it was admitted to years afterward that the Lusitania was indeed carrying war materiel from the U.S. to England. Germany took out advertisements in major American newspapers warning Americans not to sail on these cruise ships because the Germans had evidence that they carried war materiel. And they were correct. Because of the decision by President Wilson, the Lusitania was purposefully made a target for German U-boats. Germany was well within its rights to attack the Lusitania.

Very interesting, "important" passengers were sent telegrams, received prior to boarding, warning that the ship was to be sunk, as well as a group of mysterious men, trying to dissuade people from boarding, that were forced to leave by ship security:

A young Winston Churchill decided to NOT PROVIDE PROTECTION to the Lusitania as it neared Ireland. The German U-20 u-boat sent a torpedo as passengers observed its wake right into the side of the ship killing 1198 people in 18 minutes. Churchill wanted the US in the war even though Wilson did not.

I thought they were shipping arms/weapons onboard a ship with passengers and Germany sunk it because of the weapons.

Wilson will always live in the halls of infamy for his part in establishing the Federal Reserve. A traitor to the people.

It was one of the tools designed to sway US population on the war side.

I’ve been a ship master for 20 years and can assure you that no iceberg could ever sink a ship that size. It’s preposterous. Especially the old ones made of 3” thick pig iron.

To put it in perspective, the titanic could have rammed a concrete dock at sea speed and sustain little or no steel damage.

The largest iceberg ever record was only a measly 80 feet long give or take. Basically nothing compared to the size of the titanic. The titanic could have plowed through hundreds of ice bergs and maybe only scratched the paint.

People will aregue it though and swallow the mainstream narrative like a prostitute swallows sperm. But unless you’ve sailed commercially and spent any real time on commercial ships, you don’t know.

I’ve personally had ships sustain some damage from ice but that was after days and days of hard ice breaking.

When you look at everything regarding the titanic a betting man would put everything on sabotage and then double down.

Many of the very rich on the titanic supported hemp production. They opposed the criminalizing of it. Not talking maryjane, just hemp. By criminalizing it, oil and plastic industries surged.

Once the titanic sank, there were none who could successfully stop it's criminalization. Immediately after the sinking it was criminalized and instead of sustainable products, the world was filled with plastics and oil, and the fortunes and dominance of evil men were secured.

The Titanic was indeed unsinkable in warmer waters such as cruising near or on the Equator. Frigid waters made the steel of the Titanic's hull very brittle and weak.

You are correct. There were millions of .303 rounds along with other larger munitions. Germany also warned through newspaper ads that ships loaded with military cargo would be sunk.
