Ever wonder the discrepancy in Genesis 1 chp about days existing before Sun and Moon were created

Well, it is rather simple to explain. Most people assume the calendar referenced by the author of Genesis is the Solar and Lunar calendar. Well the fact is, there existed more than two calendars in Hebraec culture. There are three calendars, solar, lunar and planetary , and all three are combined by the writer to form the seven days of the week.

Back in the Biblical day, the ancients measured days by the planetary orbits about the sun (Venus), earth's orbit around the sun (solar) and the moon's orbit about earth (lunar).

The first three days are measured by planetary orbit.
The forth and fifth day is measured by lunar orbit.
The sixth and seventh day is measured by solar orbit.

All three calendars are combined as one.
