Not sure if you follow Dutch's quake forecasts or not, but we've actually had some warning for several months now in the form of a long-lasting slow slip event, very similar to the kind that preceded Japan's big one.

That long-lasting slow slip means nothing. It's always doing that, at intervals of about 14 months. When it occurs it releases stored energy equivalent to a 7.0 over a two week period.

Not sure if this means anything but the quake in Hoback, WY 30 minutes ago appears to be on nearly the same latitude as the Oregon quake.
