The running list of typos from President Trump’s White House

Donald Trump was elected to lead, not to proofread.
The 45th President, who has essentially admitted he doesn't read books, has overseen an American crisis in proper spelling and grammar since entering the White House.

Stupid mistakes happen all the time, of course, in politics and everywhere else. Just ask Barack Obama when he's done visiting those 57 states.

But no other administration has ever shown such disregard for the English language — and done it so publicly, and so frequently.

It is, as Trump would say, unpresidented.

Here is the list so far from this year:

— “It should be noted that the Fake News likes to pour over my tweets looking for a mistake.” (Trump tweet uses the wrong pore over, July 3)

— “They are a discgrace to journalism but then again, so are many others!” (deleted Trump tweet misspells disgrace, July 3)

— "Affording Congress an Opportunity to Address Family Seperation." (Executive order misspells separation, June 20)

— "Melanie is feeling and doing really well." (deleted Trump tweet misspells the First Lady's name, May 19)

— "We've continued to develop both administratively and sort of begin to put some outlines around the substance of the agenda for the summit between the President and Chairman Un." (Secretary Mike Pompeo referring to Kim Jong Un by the wrong surname, May 9)

— "April 17, 2017" (White House email referencing the death date for former First Lady Barbara Bush. She died on April 17.)

— "Very thankful for President Xi of China's kind words on tarrifs and automobile barriers." (deleted Trump tweet mispells tarrifs, April 10)

— "Special Council is told to find crimes, wether crimes exist or not." (deleted Trump tweet misspells special counsel (again) and whether, March 21)

— "It was my great honor to deliver a message at the Marine Core Air Station Miramar." (deleted Trump tweet misspells Marine Corp, March 14)

— "Chinese President XI XINPING." (deleted Trump tweet misspells Xi Jinping's name, March 10)

— "Alec Baldwin, whose dieing mediocre career..." (deleted Trump tweet misspells dying, March 2)

— "With all of the illegal acts that took place in the Clinton campaign & Obama Administration, there was never a special councel appointed!" (deleted Trump tweet, May 18)

— "Ask Sally Yates, under oath, if she knows how classified information got into the newspapers soon after she explained it to W.H. Council" (deleted Trump tweet, May 8)
