Earth in legend is a piece of space rubble from a long ago blown up larger (MUCH larger several hundred times at least) celestial body/planet.

It is a fractal/fragment of a majestic kingdom.
The SHAPE of earth isn't round, it is much like a piece of gravel in a gravel pit.

2 things make earth appear round
1 the water on its surface
2 light bends in space causing objects to appear round.

The light from this explosion in space (heaven) reached earth at the time of the church's explosion.

the UNITED States of America (all 13 of them) declared a SPLIT from England the Land of ANGELS.

Its capital city NEW YORK became the financial hub of the world and was destroyed on Sept 11th 2001.

This question is related to how Christians have applied Genesis 1:14,

…let them [i.e., the stars] be for signs…

to the 1054 supernova—namely, how they saw the supernova as a sign, not of a future event, but of, for example, God's displeasure at the Great Schism.

Then in 1099 the First Crusade: The Fall of Jerusalem, 1099 !
