My good friend told me this today: he knows an old salt who served on the Forestall. The guy said to him about the accident that killed over a hundred dads and sons and husbands -- "those missiles were not programmed to explode unless someone hit the wrong button." Obviously they came from McStains plane, although the old salt wouldn't say his name. The navy vets now refer to it as the Firestorm instead of the Forestall.
