Paranoiaaaaa Butters User ID: 76750567 South Korea 08/30/2018 01:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Got hit with some kind of blight and everything is stunted with leaves turning yellow and brown. I know the solution is to not plant tomatoes, eggplants, etc. in the same place every year but my garden is only 4'x20' so it's not like I have rows and rows where I can just shift everything over one row from year to year. Even tomatoes in containers have it. Friggin' depressing... Quoting: Blessed Jael Same here. I planted a few tomatoes just up the street at my mom's house last year and they got blight, too. I just can't seem to grown them very well here in the south. I get the first round of ripe ones and then they die. It's been a hard year to not have too much water with such wet spells. Also, keep removing any yellowing and browning branches immediately. Mulching (I used pine bark nuggets) also seemed to help keep the blight from in the ground off the lower leaves where it starts. Also, copper-based fungicide sprayed early on is a good preventative measure. Superkicker |

By constantly removing the yellow/brown branches/leaves it allowed the higher up foliage to produce virtually unaffected abundantly. I stacked (2) 6ft. cages on top of each other for each plant. I really wish I was heartless and could cull them but I love every single one of My girls. Last Edited by jkm1864 on 08/30/2018 08:24 AM Pussy Grabber Extraordinaire |
