If an emp went off and destroyed entire NA grid ... on,y requires 400 mi,e detonation above Mississippi River ... barge launched

90% of the North American population would be dead within 12 months

Same for any part of the world

Those grid massive generators take over a year to build and ship and install and there is no supply of them laying around each one is custom

Damn good book ... the writer spoke to congress a month or so before 9/11 and co tress was preparing to to harden our grid lead by Newt ... after 9/11 it was never brought back up ... you can still read the co gresional reports on it and how terrible our defense against it is ( non existent )
