Quoting: Index Finger Warrior Is it comfort food from your childhood? Did you ever argue with siblings in the grocery store over which kind is best, until your mom started screaming that she would not buy any of it and just feed you plain spaghetti? On grocery shopping day when we were kids, we used to get Alphagetti and frozen french fries for a treat. My Mom used to go grocery shopping every 2 weeks. We never got anything fun for lunches or anything (well except a little baggie of popcorn sometimes), so that was a real treat for us! |

Canned spaghetti, not too often because its awful, and canned tomatoes, which are good, and lychee nuts. Or canned lychee nuts. My friend got me onto the lychee nuts when I was ill. Nothing beats real spaghetti, well made, though I use jars and cans of tomato sauce, though fussy which ones. And like the canned whole mushrooms for some reason over the fresh in it. But zucchini, celery, onion, peppers, garlic, parsley, healthy dose of oregano, cayenne on mine, fresh ground pepper, chicken breasts, sometimes thighs, for one version, hamburger or hot Italian for the other. Lots of tomato sauce. Olives. Everything organic that can be. I've been told my spaghetti is very good, even by European standards. Prefer to anyone else's. My 11 year old grandson asked me to buy them. I did so with disgust. Quoting: Gami ![]() My 9 yo daughter just recently got hooked on spaghetti Os. She was on a gtube for nourishment from birth so since she has started eating by mouth she gets pretty much what she wants. I hate feeding her garbage but spaghetti Os a couple times a week probably isn't as bad a health risk as tap water used daily. Which we don't drink or bathe in. Love a filtered well. The dead are just the undead waiting to happen. |
