Nope, this is a stilt house on the river which the owner says floods every few years like this. The flooded area is just the garage. I've seen stilt houses by rivers who don't worry until the water is 12ft high.

Where would that amount of radiation be coming from?

Why is that?

At 6am I heard that 200+ people were already rescued by authorities, and they're out there risking their lives rescuing more people who refused to evacuate yesterday.

Aurthorities had buses going through neigborhoods yesterday going door to door urging people to evacuate. The buses would take them to safe shelters. Many refused.

Then first responders get a bum rap?

Only had time for the first guy -- he has his his mariners pilot lic if he has those as tour boats (prob used the wrong words, but close enough).

And that yacht was sturdy -- yes he will be fine. Might get some bruises if he fails to strap in.

Will have to watch the other one later. My nerves just watching the lack of evacuation is unnerving. And the folks in the places like OBX and tidewater won't evacuate next time because the experts were wrong. Ffs.

Excellent BUT stilts in storm surge flooding can be worthless because of wave action. Sure they work when it rains, but this wave action is making all the up the rivers.

They we go -- my reason why stilts are worthless in this disaster.

The bottom pic is not of the pier. There's a boat lift directly to the right of whatever that is, and houses in the background. That's really hard to do on the ocean.

This is Fake News. The bottom photo os not the same place as the top one. Oceanana Pier is still standing, except for the Barnicle bar at the end.
