StormJunkie • a minute ago I noted this in a comment earlier, but the Georgetown, SC area is bracing for potentially epic flooding. The Pee Dee and Waccamaw rivers will be emptying in to Winyah Bay this coming week. This area is particularly interesting because it is not a "straight" dump in to the Atlantic. Top this off with water coming in on top of tide cycles, and I'm not sure anyone knows exactly how it plays out for the Georgetown/Winyah Bay area. Keep an eye on the gauges in this area over the next several days. You can zoom in on this area here and see the gauges.
