Since you're still so anti-this homeless guy, nutmeg, and finding nothing wrong with what the couple did to him do please give us the guy's Facebook link.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised it's locked to Friends only or something like that by now though. Still... I'm sticking with my guns about not dragging the guy's name through the mud because of his past.

I still don't know what to think. His Facebook page is recent. It's open for anyone to see! He has 3,456 people following him! He will be a multi-millionaire when this is over.

I'm still looking at both sides of this story. Yesterday I read a blog...a guy who says that he visited this guy many times as he sat on the sidewalk begging for money. He said the guy knew exactly what to say to people....a real charmer.

I go to Philadelphia often. I have given a dollar or two to beggars.....saying they were homeless. Not long ago, returning from the theater, my friend and I went down the stairs to the train. There was the "homeless" beggar there counting his money. The wad of bills was so thick, he coud barely hold it.

Here's an article from last year. Says he bought a house with the money.

I think the whole thing was a scam from the get-go, and the couple decided to cut out their homeless accomplice when they saw the dough rolling in. What homeless guy is carrying around a $20 bill on him? And, why didn't he just give enough money to get home, instead of the entire $20? The whole thing stinks.

Nutmeg, he did look happy! It looks like he has a lot of EMS training and should be able to get a good job if he could just get off the drugs for good.

This whole story is very strange. If the couple spent his money, they should go to jail. From the items & documents in the house, the police should be able to determine if they spent on themselves.

They're are so many conflicting stories on what he was given, bought with the money, & even given to charity. I don't know what to think. Hopefully this will all get sorted out now.

The government shouldn't be raiding the home of people who have used gofundm9 to scam people. Is there anything in the contract that says they have to use the money for the actual stated projected? I would bet 90% aren't. It's just a way transfer money over the internet, nothing more.

I said before...

If they didn't have witnesses sign papers or have anything notarized anytime they gave Bobbitt money, they are stuck. Will be homeless.

I posted an article above that when interviewed last year, Bobbitt said he bought a home with the money they gave him. He even said he sent money to family. That was last year.

This year he is saying the couple kept all the money? Fishy.

Embezzlement requires fiduciary duty. Gofundm9 is not a fiduciary duty. The government has no right to break down someones doors over a lie (story) someone told to scam people out of money that they gave freely over a website.

I don't agree with what they did, but it's not a fiduciary duty.

First of all the money wasn't stolen, people donated to the homeless man's cause, secondly that money was being withheld from him, the people who raised the money for him were treating him like a child and only gave him a small portion of his own money, and then spent it on their own selfish desires.

Fuck those 2 people.

I hope the homeless man takes them to the cleaners, then maybe, just maybe they will have learned their lesson when they have to start over in a card board box.

Sometimes I wonder if any of this story is true at all, in times when almost anything can be faked with the power of internet.

Some deep state players set up a fake story to be able to launder money via go-fund-m3, then decide to add a little drama to said story as a secondary use, to get people interested in stories like this as opposed to the really important things that are really going on.

 Quoting: nutmeg

Yep. This is typically the reason why I ignore homeless people in the first place. Nearly all of them are "professional" panhandlers and regularly "earn" more money than a highly trained professional in a critical high paying infrastructural job. This is a part of the reason why panhandling is illegal in many cities across the U.S.

Another reason why panhandling is illegal in many places is because it's tax free money, and the cities demand as much money from everyone living in their borders as possible. This is part of the reason why so many people hate the homeless with an absolutely burning passion - because they get off scot-free with their seemingly dishonest "earnings" while the rest of us constantly pay ever skyrocketing taxes in our cities.

Though to be fair, in this story and case the homeless dude was promised that money from the get-go. Oh ok, nutmeg, about you being on the fence about this story. I'm mostly on the fence as well. I'm just wanting this rather bizarre court case to be settled as best as it can be. This is just one of those things that no matter what happens there will be alot of hard feelings for everyone involved.
