AnonCh4rl1 User ID: 45797341 United Kingdom 09/09/2018 02:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Is this FAKE NEWS? Quoting: MostHolyFace FBI really? Because it seems strange that NEXT month in its long history it is being closed down as an official place unlike before, and then changed to just a edu for foundation minimal staff basis as new facilities are opened? So the place is due to be handed over to New Mexico State University in a consortium in October 2018 NEXT MONTH, it has been scheduled for closure and a hand over from the current official team for years. [link to astronomy.nmsu.edu] A long paper on whats happening from an official entity to Edu research tool here Proposed Changes to Sacramento Peak Observatory Operations: Historic Properties Assessment of Effects Prepared for National Science Foundation October 2017 [link to www.nsf.gov (secure)] Its an antique and if there is anything in the report IE it really being evacuated it will be safety reasons to locals not Shoemaker Levi type, there is 10 tons of Liquid Mercury at the bottom of it a couple of hundred feet below the ground, Me thinks something like that is the issue, theft of equiptment, fraud etc, not being managed properly. Maybe Local DOOM however very unlikely as co-incidence of handover to New Mexico State Uiversity next month if they could get their shit, funding together and a closing of its normal operations planned for a long time. I call someone else has said they will look after this old classic car, but has no insurance or money to buy the fuel to do so legaly, the house and its empty whilst waiting for the new residents... IMHO nothing to see hear just hearing chinese whispers, if local and hitchhiking maybe stay away mercury is dangerous. God Bless Bingo, Anyone know what secret contraption is rumoured to require lots of Mercury? TR3-B |

Lacey Underall User ID: 76792534 United States 09/09/2018 03:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If it is all innocent, as some suggest, whats with the search helicopters? If it was an escaped Federal prisoner that was reported to be in the area, it seems like they would have notified the local police to assist. But it appears more likely the helicopters were there to find, and remove any locals that happened to be in the area. |

Crazy Harriet User ID: 16321059 United States 09/09/2018 03:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Read Daniel Suarez' Daemon? Thriller novel about a real threat that is turned into a fake threat in the public mind through excellent and very professional handling of newscasts and "witnesses". Even those deeply involved are fooled. Fun read and well worth the time. Not really Sci Fi because with a couple of gray areas, it could all happen with the technology that existed when he wrote it. People only THINK it's sci fi because the world is changing so fast. Anyway, this thread with the fake news report just brought a big smile and remembering that book. Would the FBI be utilized for other non-law enforcement issues? They have been given the Homeland Security role since 9/11. At what point would a DOD be used to secure an area? Who would be used for a quarantine situation? Texas, born and raised! |

It was only one date, he was too uptight for me, and I don't know if he still lives up there. I wouldn't even know how to contact him. Heh, what I can tell you is that some months ago, early in the morning before the sun was up, I was on my back porch and I watched an HUGE "craft" lower down slowly into the mountains...and when I say "HUGE" I mean so large it likely wasn't anything of ours. If it was something of ours, then we are being lied to big time (although that wouldn't surprise me, either). I just stood there, smoking a cig, watching these lights go far and wide as it just lowered into the mountain range. It wasn't my first "craft" rodeo, but it sure as heck was my biggest. White Sands Missile Range isn't far at all from here, I travel through it for work almost daily, and I - and we - all know that there are underground bases and tunnels throughout all of the Range, this a large part of NM. When I travel past the area where the Missle Range headquarters are the temperature always drops by two to three degrees, and of course the radio doesn't work right, and it's a cell tower dead zone....heh, despite all the cell towers just a few miles away. That's the only reason I could think that there'd be that large of a "craft" in my area, being connected to the Range...and f'n setting down to boot! And now the observatory is in lock down....heh, the things that make one go 'hmmmm, ain't that interesting.' You never change things by fighting the existing reality. It's reminding me of the unexplained radiation burst a few years back on the Indiana/Michigan border. No explanation, then the security guard for Eli Lilly posted on a chan that all their radiation equipment started going haywire, then the FEDS showed up, the rest of the week was followed by A-10s flying over northern Indiana, something that is super rare for that area. Seeing as how they closed the USPS office to it leads me to believe somebody mailed anthrax for some such. Although this is probably just a cover. |
