Just to recap, observatory spokesperson stated they are the ones who called the FBI: A little bit more of how they say it started: "As part of the investigation into the security issue, the observatory has contacted the FBI, which has been reported on the scene with multiple agents and a Blackhawk helicopter" [ link to www.popularmechanics.com (secure)] Yet, the observatory's director has no clue why or what is going on If not posted yet, per Dr. James McAteer, New Mexico State University's director of the Sunspot Solar Observatory "The director told ABC-7 he was not told why they were to evacuate, but he doesn't believe it has anything to do with the telescope... There is no issue with the telescope," McAteer said. " The telescope has never been better."" [ link to www.kvia.com (secure)] I highly doubt they were called as the workers would know why etc. I also doubt it is the actual FBI tbh. I suspect this has EVERYTHING to do with overlooking the airbase as the drone footage proved and that for whatever reason 'they' moved in and closed it for a while, why is anyones guess. Certain agency cannot operate within US unless assisting the FBI. Same for military, they would have to be "assisting" or "advisors" to the FBI. FBI's involvement may be nothing more than legal cover for whatever agency/entity is there. Also, no one has ever said that the "security issue" was specific to the observatory. Very well could be a security issue at white sands due to vantage point. Very well could have attached equipement to the towers to monitor or take part in a test at white sands.
