everything has a season, a lot of the old names are back in favor.

When my mom was pregnant with my sister, my mom wanted to name her Dody...lol the nurse wasn't having it and talked my mom into Judy...whew, sister dodged that bullet

Dodi was my mom's nickname! it would not do for a real name.

I've heard all those names above in the last 2 or 3 years as well, that is why I didn't include them. And someone else said "Gertrude" which is a German name and is STILL very much in use. These names, a lot of them, don't sound so strange in other languages!

My aunt was a German immigrant and her name was Edith. In English, it nearly sounds ugly. But in German, French, Spanish & Portuguese, it sounds like a beautiful name. Ayye-deet!

My cousin Doris, in Brazil was born in 1960 and Doris is STILL a very popular name, not just there but all over S. America and Europe.

I didn't include those names.
