And they certainly don't want to lose much of their priesthood to prison to what they must feel is a sin and not a crime.
That seems to be clear.

Sure deny the charges until they're proved in a court of law, standard but heinous actions. However to call a victim of horrendous abuse "Satan?" I am a recovering Cathoholic, though I follow the Way of Jesus Christ. I am merely pointing out sin = crime, the two are interchangeable.
