The idea they shut it down to stop folks from looking at the AFB is quite plausible.
That they had agents climbing towers adds to it. (ie better view)
Might also be a few cctv cameras pointing in the wrong direction.
Something or someone may have landed there that they didnt want anyone to know about, or have proof of.

Something is going down at Holloman AFB and they got real or fake FBI in to clear it out and maybe fit monitoring equipment to towers? The most simple seems most likely, if it was a solar or space issue then other observatories would be closed also and despite reports i have not actually seen evidence of this. It is the best mystery cos it is real on here for a long time imo  Others around the world are closed. Go to before its news..
