Katrina was a Cat 2 as was Harvey. It's the slow churn that matters most. This storm is gonna be nasty. That's real. Trust me, I'm a Cat Adjuster. LOL. seriously, though. It can still be VERY bad even at Cat 1 if it stalls out and churns for a long time. And, I really am a Cat Adjuster. I'm heading there Friday. Its a two day trip for me from Texas.
Quoting: TheYzman So you decided to deploy?! Be careful out there. This storm feels so eerie. Quoting: Jeremiah 29:11 Yes I did. Was lucky enough to rent the same house I lived in for Hurricane Harvey and Irma. 5 minutes from the office. Fully furnished just outside downtown Columbia S.C. getting all my loose ends tied up here at the house. Don't know if you have signed on with A particular company yet, but, Pilot Catastrophe is a good place to start. Get your adjuster wings. Tons of claims and a lot of support. Contracted with them for many years until I got into the groove and got comfortable. I contract with a smaller company now. Seriously, it's a great business. Great money. Best of luck to you. Quoting: TheYzman Indeed, I've known Cat adjusters who make in excess of 300K a year and they work on average only six months of that year. Quoting: JustTheFactsPlease I just got my NC license today! I'm thinking of going on ahead and calling my field supervisor and telling him I will go if he will team me with a good seasoned adjuster.
