20 gas explosions in Massachusetts just now!!!

That is totally IMPOSSIBLE . Just another fake story . High and low pressure systems are completely incompatible . The fittings are totally different for that exact reason .

I just recycled a leaking old water heater. The gas valve was still good. I wish I had it right now because I would experiment with the gas valve and my regulated air compressor. Get what I'm saying? If anyone has an old water heater or NG appliance laying around, this would be an awesome experiment.

Oh hell! I did not need to see this.They have been working all summer in our neighborhood digging up peoples lawns and replacing gas lines.They are currently working on my street and I have a yellow flag in my lawn.Ughh! I've always been parenoid around gas appliances as it is. Our neighorhood is covered with little yellow flags everywhere!

It was probably aliens dinking around with air levels

No recent flares, but cosmic rays are up and we've had decent geomagnetic storms (storming right now actually).

Related to or involved in this gas situation, idk. I'm doubting it.

Unseen factors...something to consider for sure.

Most control valves are designed so that the valve has to open against the incoming pressure.

In this way the pressure helps the valve to stay well sealed and higher pressure should only keep it more tightly on the seat.

The magnetic coil that opens the valve is of limited strength and likely couldn't open against 100 psi. But if it were already open, the main burner would make an inferno.

Pilot lights would blaze up for sure.

Pressure relief valves ARE different and are designed to blow open from exceeding a pressure rating.
Why the distribution system does not seem to include them is a mystery.

Didnt some place have gas leaks few weeks back.
Im not buying into this. Gas would have safty control measures in place. Not just for home owners but health and work safety.

Petrol stations have ssfety controls its called a red button.

One has to wonder though would any of this higger homes have anything to do with chikd traffic or orga theft

To be the voice of reason, it may have been the first cold night and the first time people turned gas on in their homes after a long summer - so the most probable time for an unnoticed gas leak to present problems in various homes.

Hundreds in shelters, could be several days before people can go home, off ramps 41 - 45 on 495 closed, many still without power (about 19,000 people without power).

I fail to see how more gas pressure would blow out the pilot lights without the pressure dropping first and the flames going out and then the pressure comes back on.

Isn't it weird that we still debate 911 as a conspiracy? We don't know who actually did it.

We don't know why Pulse Night Club was shot up. We don't know why Pan Am Lockerbie happened. We can't explain why hundreds are injured in Las Vegas, Ariana Grande Concert, rapes in Sweden, Boston Marathon. We don't have a clue or put this together as a collective attack?

We're stumped? And we keep just cleaning up the mess?

The gas pipeline is like 150 years old. Obama refused to do something about it because of climate change.
