he is quiet right now but he said in 3 hourse they would lose cell coverage up and down nc coast. should come into wilm around daybreak and he will begin travelling there. said he wants to be in the eye!

He says he's 45 or 50 miles north of Wilmington, and he wants to drive down Route 17 when the wind is behind him, all the way to Wilmington.

Makes sense, but I have my doubts the road will be unobstructed all the way. Why is he moving, to get away from storm surge?

From the wind diagram he just showed, which is up to date, it looks like the eye is collapsing a bit, not so clear. A weakening storm, but you can get enormous rainfall from those.
