Everyone does the best they can, but the reason we have a society is to do the best for the individual and the collective at the same time. If we're all supposed to simply handle our own shit, the news is even better. We can obliterate the office of POTUS now and forever. But, until then, our government is supposed to be by the people, of the people and for the people.

My memory foam mattress is better than any hotel. I'd imagine Puerto Rican residents feel the same. The ONLY reason to get attached to the hotel is that no one is dealing with the root of the problem at home, because they're pretending that it never happened.
I hope in the name of all that's good and holy that you're made whole asap. I pray in the name of God Almighty that additional folks don't suffer because you accepted the subpar assistance of a faux POTUS. You nailed it with the part in bold. No one is dealing with it, so why should they deal with it They should just get new apartments in Miami or Orlando forever because a bad thing happened.
