I like to take a couple of hits and then workout. I'm 47 and got back into shape this past year by dieting and exercise. The weed really helps me get into my "workout zone." Rock music blaring and all that. Skip breakfast and eat twice a day. There's all sorts of videos on youtube about it. Search "intermittent fasting." No sugar either, cut that poison out now. I use diet tea mix when I want something sweet. Then start body weight exercising. That's squats, leg lifts, sit ups and push ups. There's all sorts of helpful videos on that too. It's embarrassing what's happened to us in America with the 3 meals a day bullshit. I'm not trying to brag but I feel like I'm in my 20's again. Good luck. |

It’s just after work I like to mix up a few Manhattans before dinner to try and forget my meaningless life. I was just wandering If pot is a cool alternative to getting buzzed from alcohol. It represents my belief in personal freedom and my sense of individuality. What is this! Shitload of mashed potatoes day? |

Quoting: Peerless Cockroach Get sober or don't. You are not escaping anything but rather digging yourself a chemical hole. You are so full of AA propaganda and lies. [link to www.orange-papers.info (secure)] Each relaps is not worse. Many people practice a lot until they got a handle agian on their drinking problems. Op however never sad he was an alcoholic. Just that he drank a few after work. Alcohol is very high in calorie, and it takes the liver 3 days to flush it out of your system. While doing that the liver puts processing fat on hold. The trick to drinking alcohol and losing wieght is not to drink it every night and keep it in the light to moderate zone. Even near Bear, counts as real beer to your liver. So you are just going to have to find an alternative. You also need to liver detox. You can you tube infor on that. If your liver and gall bladder are not in good shape you wil have a very hard time losing any wieght. |

Quoting: Stink Finger I have lost about 16lbs so far. I think my drinking may be hindering my diet. I drink a few drinks every night to unwind from the absolute fuckery of my day. Would smoking pot be a less caloric alternative to alcohol? Any suggestion? I've seen it help a lot of people, including me. But most of us aren't doctors. If you want to ask about personal experience on it, I'm doing much better since I quit drinking and losing weight is easy now. |

RomanianGuy User ID: 76912989 Romania 09/14/2018 06:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Many people practice a lot until they got a handle agian on their drinking problems. Op however never sad he was an alcoholic. Just that he drank a few after work. Quoting: My Fear He said he likes the alcohol-induced buzz every night after work. That's how alcoholism starts. For a time it will be functional alcoholism and the OP won't realise he has an alcohol problem. But drinking every day will make his body more resistant and he won't get that buzz as easily so he'll gradually raise his alcohol intake. Then he's a full-blown alcoholic. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1497815 United States 09/14/2018 06:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No need for "alternatives." Weed has a completely different physiological effect. Consciously replacing alcohol with it will result in the body just craving the booze, which it needs more. I would seriously try to abstain from both for three months before thinking of weed. You may be so detoxed by then that you're in great mental and physical shape and desire neither. Think music, painting, cycling, reading, less electronics. Religious anthropology. There's something you seek more than altering your mind. |

Would smoking pot be a less caloric alternative to alcohol? Any suggestion? Try some Ryebread, skip white bread entirelly, drop sodas, have a glas of red wine instead of beer, chilli, garlic and beans cooked and fresh is your freind, also go swimming for exersize running will damage your back. Meat is also your freind, and cabbage, lots of cabbage, apples, carrots, chopped, steamed, cooked, anything goes. If you eat high carb food like cabbage and mix it with meat, the meat will not make you fat, even if its fatty meat, its all about your burn value, keep the stomac working, thats why rye bread is good. You mentioned drinking is damaging your diet, and you are right, high sugar alcoholic beverages like beer and liquor will firstly stop your indigestion and then clot it up with all the alcohol sugars. If you have to drink alcohol, (red wine) Last Edited by Mkitrik on 09/14/2018 07:16 AM Endless changing moniker is static. |

One or two hits, and I'm fine. You'd be better off just doing some moderate exercise and eating less processed foods, and the weight should come off slowly and easily. |

Next time you're high ask God how you can be born again and taste the riches of His love. Life is short Death is sure Sin the cause Christ the cure! |
