The Apocalypse is a greek word that simply means "the appearing or revealing".

It is amazing that this particular revealing has such negative connotation by so many. But not really because when the Son of God is revealed and appears He will expose also all the real evil in this world and the hearts of all men. AND THAT HAS THIS WORLD QUAKING IN THEIR SHOES so much that they rather just deny it in any and all forms possible.
