AURORA SURPRISE: No geomagnetic storm was predicted for Sept. 14th. One happened anyway. The day began with a minor G1-class storm that sparked midnight auroras over parts of Canada. Ray Majoran sends this picture from Huntsville, Ontario: The display was caused by solar wind flowing through a crack that opened unexpectedly in Earth's magnetic field. [ link to www.spaceweather.com] Thats the 4th geomagnetic storm for sept its seems we are on a roll and this one was a surprise..next one could be the big one...making faraday cage for electronics now and nothing was predicted, hummm all sunspots predictions are takin down from all the sites... nd a crack that unexpectedly opened just as we have a storm..still goes bump in the night... Quoting: kelee877 Yes, exactly. "Surprise" auroras! "Unexpected" CRACK in the Earth's geomagnetic field?
