The original world-celebrated fat man..is Santa Clause.

Of whose obesity it was necessary to describe at the time as, 'shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly'.

BPA has been my focus since 1999, on all things autism. I was a preschool teacher for much of my 20s, and BPA and baby/infant/womb exposure..explained the sudden phenomena for me.

The water pipes people have coming into their homes, may also be leeching, BPA. Straight from the tap. I'm sure a plumber could confirm much of the 90s utilized plastic pipes in housing construction.

As much as 40% of store receipts may be coated in BPA as well, according to the Environmental Working Group. The chemical can rub off on hands or food items, and may be absorbed through the skin.
You can also limit your exposure to BPA through store receipts:

Say no to paper receipts when possible.
Keep receipts in an envelope.
Never give a child a receipt to hold or play with.
Wash your hands before preparing and eating food after handling a receipt.
Don’t recycle receipts and other thermal paper. BPA residues contaminate recycled paper.

Gender-Bender Chemicals are Turning Boys Into Girls

The government of Denmark has released a 326-page report affirming that endocrine disrupting chemicals are probably continuing to the birth of fewer males and the "feminization" of existing ones.

The report centers on chemicals like PVC, flame retardants, phthalates, dioxins, PCBs and bisphenol-A, all of which mimic the action of estrogen in the body. The researchers concluded that due to the prevalence of these chemicals, children could easily be exposed to high enough levels to place them at "critical risk" of harm.

Gender-bender chemicals causing early puberty in girls

"Endocrine disrupting" chemicals that mimic or interfere with the body's natural sex hormones are partially responsible for early puberty in girls, according to a study conducted by researchers from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

"Research has shown that early pubertal development in girls can have adverse social and medical effects, including cancer and diabetes later in life," researcher Mary Wolff said. "Our research shows a connection between chemicals that girls are exposed to on a daily basis and either delayed or early development."

After my limited reading into Sous Vide, I decided against it. I blame all plastics, liners, BPA-free or not-BPA=free...

I also blame SOY in messing with our endocrine and hormonal balance.

Traditionally SOY is fermented, historically in SE Asia in the form of bean pastes and soy sauce, sure there's Tofu and Soy Milk...

What I'm trying to say it's never really eaten by itself or in the form of extruded 'textured soy protein'. The health food fanatics in the 1970's and 1980's embraced soy wholesale. It's everywhere in processed and fast food.

Soybean and corn oil??? Only from chemical reactions!!!

Industrial foodstuffs are literally killing everybody!

Aye. The PVC pipes. I remember in middle school how the drinking water flavor changed when they changed to plastic PVC piping. I could see the plastic piping behind the fountain, which I recall looking at when I noticed the flavor.

I could taste it in my mom's water bottle in the 80's.

To this day I refuse to use water bottles. They made baby bottles out of the stuff for 10 years. Scary stuff.

Back then when you went to work you were on the factory floor building things - doing physical labor - now you sit at a desk using a computer all day.
 Quoting: Larry Hinklestein

I'm at a computer more than I like too.

I still burn fire wood in the winter and hike ever deeper in the woods to get cured and dry firewood or cut and load it into trailers, split it and bring it into the house....

Still I think it helps me lose weight and we love our wood heat... think it also keeps us from getting sick as much having a warm dry house in spite of cool damp outside.

Earth grounding (going barefoot) as much as possible working outside has also helped me reduce inflammation and I believe would be a key to weightloss for many people.

We even sleep on a semi-metallic earth grounded bed sheet.

REM dream state does not get much better than that bed BTW.

We evolved foraging for our food. We added hunting and the Old Testement is pretty much the story of our shift from foraging and hunting to farming and gardening--and marriage which is needing permission from tribal leadership to do reproductive activity. We didn't need marriage when we were foraging and hunting.

So basically marriage makes women fat.

Yes! Thank you. :)

From link:

Like other lead(II) salts, lead(II) acetate has a sweet taste, which led to its historical use as a sugar substitute. The ancient Romans, who had few sweeteners besides honey, would boil must (grape juice) in lead pots to produce a reduced sugar syrup called defrutum, concentrated again into sapa.

This syrup was used to sweeten wine and to sweeten and preserve fruit. It is possible that lead(II) acetate or other lead compounds leaching into the syrup might have caused lead poisoning in those who consumed it.

This definitely has to be connected with high fructose corn syrup and all the other garbage that is processed foods today.

I don't know why people try and compare a few aspects of a previous generation to what we have now.

We have an abundance of transportation
We have stores damn near on every corner.
We have power tools that make make doing everything easier and they're getting better and better.
We have access to information at home instead of needing to travel for it.
We have kids that don't go outside because it's too dangerous sun cancer heat stroke etc.
We have crazy ass medications with billions of side effects.

Just a bunch of overeating lazy fucks. That stomach pain you think is because of hunger is actually a sugar craving withdrawal symptom hunger "pains" aren't that bad.

It’s the corn.
 Quoting: Deplorable Xeven

The Ethanol corn was the worst government idea IMHO to make the US codependent on other nations to import our food.

The idea of growing fuel corn (That has to be Federally subsidized because it is not naturally profitable in the marketplace) was a central planning communist agenda to shift our farms away from our own food production and self sufficiency.

BTW the deer that eat some of these GMO corns (not meant for human consumption) are growing to enormous body sizes and masses and are not something you want to hit with your car when a horny buck is going out of his mind chasing the doe in heat....
 Quoting: ChivalryKnight

I'm surrounded by farm fields and some of the GMO corn mutations I have seen while checking out the individual plants scare the hell out of me. This corn is fed to the cows and swine, and the distillers grain left over from ethanol production is also mixed into feed.

In my junior high of about 500 kids, there was 1 fat kid..People called him chubby..and maybe 1 fat gal. and maybe 1 gal had boobs. Nowadays, its 50% of the population..probably a combination of factors.

I had about the same number of kids in my school, only 2 fat guys and 1 big-boned gal. I was friends with one of the fat guys throughout junior high and high school. He was always happy and outgoing, a lot of fun to be around. He played street hockey with us kids so he was fairly active! Later in high school he was an assistant to the ice hockey team and rode the bus with us and helped carry equipment to the rink. We had some good-natured nicknames for him, never anything mean, and he took it all in stride.

Gender-Bender Chemicals are Turning Boys Into Girls
[link to www.naturalnews.com (secure)]

I won't use styrofoam because I can taste it in hot cereal or beverage.

I think I do recall Styrofoam having a hint of flavor as well. The texture is awful as a drinking vessel.

Anyone else recall that weird chemical flavor and smell that came from water bottles? Especially, if left in the car when hot?

I asked my mom countless times how she couldn't smell and taste it.

10 years later they found out for sure and changed the chemical composition of the plastic, to then further label it A-Okay, only to find again, them leaching BPA. This time in baby bottles and sippy cups.

I read the book wheat belly and the testimonials of a doctor taking people off wheat were incredible.

Seriously...I look at pictures in my Time Life old west book series... NO FAT PEOPLE HARDLY ANYWHERE 120+ YEARS AGO...NADA, NONE!

I was just at a large county fair today and the wife and I had to comment on the amount of morbidly obese people there. We've been hitting the same fair for over 30 years and the explosion of fat is exponential, and within the last few years the scooter rentals have been booming.

This definitely has to be connected with high fructose corn syrup and all the other garbage that is processed foods today.

It's depressing. I had a series of posts on it back in August.

They were everywhere..

I know you talked a lot about shame in the karma thread, but do you think shame has its place?

That the lack thereof, and tolerance for deviant behavior, has caused far more harm than benefit?

For example 'fat acceptance'. The level of morbid obesity I witnessed yesterday, was depressing.

I couldn't help but show my disgust yesterday when I saw a woman so fat, that her front-butt, hung like a fleshy meat curtain, halfway to her knees.

They were everywhere and their choices are gonna cost billions maybe even trillions, in medical costs.

So what is wrong with shaming those who deserve it? Should fat shaming come back in vogue?

While feeling colorful at the time, my premise being..is tolerance toward morbid obesity, doing far more harm than good?
