We were all latch key kids, after school we had chores and each other. We are all millionaires or close we reunion every summer;love,work,friends. Figure things out for yourself. All this helicopter parenting is BS.our moms cooked. cleaned and worked outside the house after age 12 or so.

Not to mention the people addicted to drugs so they couldn't possibly take care of their kids. And so high they're letting their kids get abused by anything and everything.

Say a prayer for the children. This is an evil world and many kids have no one to protect them.

Millennial's and Generation Y and Z are taught to believe in themselves.

They are taught there is no God

They are taught that they are evil for ruining the environment

They are taught that they are killing animals is bad for food

They are strung out on Social Media where hate is the rage of the day

They are taught that life is cheap in video games

They are taught that if their life isn't as great as a social media star, then they are nothing

They are taught that working hard is a bad thing

Canada? I've been there.

There's just not enough sun.

There's not much to do there, and everything is taxed to death, they even tax you on transfers of used cars between private parties.

There's alotta binge drinking going on Canada.

I feel I had in Canada is it is too reliant on American popular culture. Prostitutes on almost every corner. Bubble real estate market, way too many foreigners...

Also the communist PRC exports fentanyl up north.

Obviously Canadian taxes are not high enough if you can stay home every day posting on every thread. I'm on a lunch hour, already made 1/2 day's pay. My healthcare is not 'free' and I don't feel suicidal at all..

On a positive note: From what I see in Vegas, Canadian tourists are good tippers, and very polite, even when drunk, I must admit.

No one posts these stats in the U.S. because it would cause more depression and even more suicides.

Well...when I was growing up, we had trees to climb, gardens to tend, peas to shell, corn to shuck, clean rivers and creeks to swim and waterski in, we knew how to kill our own meat, we knew guns were not toys and not to be used for evil or revenge, we killed snakes without having to call 911, we sat spiders on fire, we hunted and found fossils and arrowheads, spear tops and kept Buckeyes in our pockets for luck...we had an ATARI game system with the silly back and forth ping pong games and frogger. Then came along those goofy handheld football game machines...nevertheless, we learned about history and civics, morals, and tenacity with some of the best teachers in the world...all at a public school.
We went to the library and actually READ and wrote our very own reports for class.
We even had to read the newspapers at times and magazines like TIME and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC to garner our info.

Yet today, the kids have the ENTIRE UNIVERSE of info at their very fingertips and most of them don't know shit other than whose ass is bigger then whoever else's 9n INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK.
They cuss, fight and scream at each other, beat up their parents, break the hearts of the elderly, laugh and humiliate their teachers. They scream for RESPECT yet have not a CLUE as to what RESPECT means.
The ones who try to make themselves better are 5he 9nes getting caught up in this suicide crap. They look at a world gone mad and feel they don't belong. Not ALL 9f 5hem, but a lot of them.
And I would wager to bet that some suicides weren't even suicides either, being the perfect murder by someone else, or even an accident on the deceased's part.

The older people alive now had better get a grip on these younger ones. And pretty soon too. Tell them how it was. Encourage them. Hug them. Put your own damned phone down long enough to let them know there is life out there...not a life of chasing pokemons, but a life of chasing dreams, ideals, ideas, legacies....

God help these kids growing up in today's world. But it CAN be made better if TRUTH is allowed to prevail.

PRAY for that TRUTH. Pray for discernment. Pray for mercy.
But most of all, pray for the children and young adults. Everybody's children.

I suffered really bad seasonal effective disorder in Canada. I knew lots of suicidal kids and addicts living up there, lots of people with sexual kinks who were addicted to using prostitutes. Much more nastier than in the states

Some Humans are not meant to go that long in cold dreary climates. The winters up there were horrible.
