in all fairness to the OP, it would have to start small. but just to grasp what could happen here, think of the power of doubling....first one victim ["patient zero"], then two, then four, eight, sixteen...eventually tens of thousands.

OP is telling the truth about this folks, but he's leaving out an important piece of information.

The reason the vamps are uprising in a "war" , is bc there are some serious climate/earth changes coming within next year or two.
The vamps need to fill up on as much blood as possible, and capture as many humans as needed to be used as livestock in underground bunkers to withstand the length of the event.

The mayan civilization was one of these bunksers from a past event, which eventually dispersed itself once it was safe to dwell on surface again.
