The Truth about Cholesterol, Inflammation, and Cardiovascular Disease
When people say, "Heart disease isn't caused by cholesterol, it's caused by other things like inflammation of the arteries, infections, etc etc...."......

...I would say technically that is only half of it...

Cholesterol is obviously... without a doubt.... a primary factor in heart disease.... it forms plaque in the arteries, and thus causes blockage....

But... the reason cholesterol forms plaque in the arteries is due to damage to the arteries... such as inflammation from infections, stress, etc...

So like.... Would harmful plaque build up occur in someone's arteries without any arterial damage??

I'm not too sure.... But from what I know, it does when there is damage to the arteries..

So I liken it to a loaded gun....

Arterial damage, like inflammation, is like having a gun to your head and pulling the trigger.... in a sense...

And harmful plaque build-up is the loaded bullet

in a way

Now like... I would say that the formation of plaque is a normal healthy bodily function in itself... but if there is too much arterial damage, from say inflammation.... and blood is over-loaded with plaque-forming cholesterol..... then bad complications arise...

So like... really.... it's both artery damage AND too much cholesterol

Complications arise from too much of both

So yeah..

A healthy plant-based diet, without any meat or saturated fat...... along with things like preventing infections..... so NO sugar... and ONLY whole foods (like no white bread, etc)......

... and as well as other healthy lifestyles choices..... like not over-stressing.... and avoid harmful chemicals..... like plastics, etc... the list goes on really....

There are many things which causes imbalance in the human body

ALSO.... make sure you get your vitamins and minerals.... specifically and importantly vitamin C Thread: The Truth about Cholesterol, Inflammation, and Cardiovascular Disease (Page 3)

Re: The Truth about Cholesterol, Inflammation, and Cardiovascular Disease
Like cholesterol isn't the sole cause of cardiovascular disease

But it is what causes it

Like... Get it?

Eating meat and saturated fats is NOT healthy... It's not.

It will give you heart disease

But it forms due to artery damage

One needs to not eat meat or saturated fats.... AND... prevent artery damage.... to live a healthy life

This is a good video.... He says that cholesterol doesn't give you heart disease, and that it's artery damage from things like infections and other things.... but cholesterol DOES cause heart disease..... by forming harmful plaque build-up.... which is caused by arterial damage like inflammation, etc..

But he details that things like infections, and other unhealthy things lead to heart disease

But yeah.... No meat or fat... and.. like... prevent infections...

Healthy living in all areas

Ok so...

Prevent damage to arteries..... so like... prevent infections, unneeded stress... harmful chemicals.... no inflammation...

And.... maintain healthy cholesterol levels by *completely* abstaining from meat and saturated fat

Eat a *healthy* plant-based diet

This will lead you to success

Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

I was really referring to like... damage to arteries.... which cause plaque build up

So like.... I'm not sure if the kind of inflammation you're talking about is the same that I am

But I really don't know :P

I would ask someone more knowledgeable about your condition

Target no more than 50 grams of carbs per day.

That is great reference point to get you going in the right direction.

Good Luck!

There were threads on here long ago, where leading heart surgeons were saying that cholesterol is the good guy.
It's there trying to heal the inflammation. The higher the cholesterol levels, the more it's trying to heal us.

Yeah...

Inflammation and artery damage causes cholesterol to make plaque... and then the plaque causes heart disease

But that doesn't mean that it's a good idea to overload your blood with plaque forming cholesterol!!

 Quoting: ConcreteBrunette

The statin stabilizes the plaque in your arteries so it doesn't break loose easily. As you age the arterial plaque can break loose causing stroke or heart attack. In my case it was a heart attack. Like you, I thought that I should stay away from the statin drugs because of the total shit people post about them as being harmful. Maybe statins are harmful but loosing 20% of your heart because of blockages is life changing harmful. I complained that I was on 5mg of Crestor. Now I am on 40mg of Crestor for the last year.

My advice is to not listen to the idiots claiming they know about alternatives or how dangerous statins are because they are not your doctor and have no fricken clue about your lipid profile and family history.

Just take the statin.

Hardened arteries are because calcium filled the space that vitamin k2 was supposed to fill, and calcium didnt go where it was supposed to.

Also, the more carbs of any kind you eat, the more you need Vitamin C.

The thing about eating meat, and a lot of it, is that you dont need to eat nearly as often.

Re: The Truth about Cholesterol, Inflammation, and Cardiovascular Disease
Humans lost the ability to make Vitamin c. Vitamin c is vital for a healthy cardiovascular system. When your body can't heal itself because of lack of vitamin c, it compensates by using cholesterol to coat the inflammation/damage.

The RDA of vitamin c is way too low. Most people don't ever get enough. High dose vitamin c along with L-Lysine can help prevent/reverse plaque buildup.

Look up the Pauling Therapy. It's ridiculed as quackery (of course, because if it works you can reverse cardiovascular disease on your own for less than $100) but there are plenty of testimonies of it working.
