then in August it flares up and now there are warnings of the perfect ebola storm?

Ebola seems to die out in first world countries.

It needs turd world conditions to spread - steamy environment, lack of basic sanitation, kissing corpses at funerals and the like.

That is, until it mutates into something more dangerous.

If it did mutate, it may take 2 to 3 months to propagate to rural US communities. Safe to say, you will hear through your friends and acquaintances if it is really spreading locally or not.

Each of us knows dozens of people who will contact us if there is a real pandemic, who also know dozens of other people each.

In other words, each of us has a detection net comprised of hundreds of "sensors" - a couple degrees removed from us.

I wouldn't trust government information on a pandemic of any sort.
