In all fairness, they just had a Typhoon come through and thrash the place. So it's probably more of an attempt to save face, so we don't see how fucked the place is and a way of mitigating any potential embarrassment about how long their clean up process is. Quoting: Crash Override that's not the case, the damage here is not as bad as you imagined, there are still some broken windows and fallen trees here and there but things were back to normal within 2-3 days. it's mainly because China is losing the trade war and they are doing these kind of things to show the US that they are angry
