Police and others have been stealing drones out of peoples mail before they even get them, microwaving them, shooting them down, etc. for years. I live in a college town. Do you think there are some people that want to fly? I live near a nice park and a river; a good place to fly. I don't think I have ever seen anyone fly a drone in this town. If you think you live in a free country go buy one and fly it. SpamSpamSignatureSpamSpam Force Ghost Void God Zombie Wookie King From Beyond The Stars - Also I'm modest and understated. "Those who know, don't teach. Those who teach, are fucking with you." "When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him." Jonathan Swift "Whenever possible be more compassionate. It is always possible to be more compassionate." "Four hearts combined are one." "There is a reason we use brains for thinking and concrete for sidewalks." "God is love. All you need is love...and GALAXY BLASTING SPACE WEAPONS." (I knew there was something wrong with this one, it just took me a while to figure it out) "Women are evil, men are dumb, somebody pissed in the beer." "The thing about smart people is: they seem like crazy people... to dumb people." "He who says it cannot be done should not interrupt he who is doing it." "Humanity has driven off the cliff, now the military is holding their hands over our eyes so we don't see the ground coming." "Some of what you read is wrong because the people who wrote it also did not have a very good education and were groping around in the dark when they wrote it. Lets thank them for trying because without people like them we would have a lot more groping to do in a much darker world" |

Quoting: g0v That's why we need government so badly! I agree...right up until I'm on final approach and your 500 dollar drone takes out my 2.8 million dollar engine on my Citation and hopefully doesn't kill me in the process. My drone has an ADS-B transponder on it and can integrate with existing ICAO anti-collision systems. So it isn't a hazard to your precious $2.8M Citation jet. However, reading your comments, I think you're more of a risk to people as an unhinged pilot. Your $2.8M Citation jet can do a lot more damage than a 500g drone. I'll call BS and say you're just a wanna be pilot who is actually living in mom's basement flying Flight Sim X. You are born with the truth, then taught a lie. |

I agree it’s bullshit that’s such a tiny little toy requires this. If this ever hit an airplane or helicopter it would be like a bug hitting your car Quoting: Cardiak That sounds pretty awesome tbf mate I had no idea they could fly so far away and so that just backs up my theory about why they are suddenly wanting to restrict them - too much they want to hide imo and they are hard to spot sometimes and i guess on some level they could be considered a security risk in wrong hands? Not that i agree with this restriction stuff as i would buy one if i could. |

The next decade or two will likely see a big influx of drone assassinations once people start deploying guns or explosives to these guys. I was blown away when I got mine and saw how stable it is, it basically flies itself. Can take it to the beach in extreme winds and it just hovers staticly and the camera self levels so you have no idea the drone is actually sitting at a 30 degree angle fighting against 45 mph winds its all extremely smooth and viewed through 1080x1920 HD goggles. Can zoom 4x, can highlight people on the controllers display and it will target you and automatically follow where ever you go and keep you in the shot. If you jumped on a jetski or a motorcycle it would follow and dodge any obstacles to keep you in its tracking. It auto detects any objects above beside or below it and reacts and dodges it unless you are in sports mode. It goes 32 MPH in regular mode and 45MPH in sports. Mine has a fishing mod built onto it so I can connect my line and fly it out about 800 yards which is the max my reel will hold and drop chunks in the ocean to catch tuna and occasional sharks. This thing cost less then $2000 so I cant imagine the kind of shit the government or big money people have. A terrorist organization or simply an assassin could easily take one of these make it a bit larger to carry a larger payload or weapon and take a target out from extreme distances which is frightening when you think about it. |

So now you want to register plastic bags? What's the age limit on plastic bags, to carry? Does one need to complete a safety course for the use of these very dangerous plastic bags? Have your brought this plastic bag problem to congress? An issue of such import must be addressed! Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. But they're not going to register their drones and take the test, so all the gov't is doing is inconveniencing law-abiding hobbyists. The gov't is basically saying they own the sky and will be taxing us for putting a small piece of plastic in it for a few minutes at a time. |

Hey man I don't like the fact that I have to pay to register and insure my vehicle, even though in my whole life I've never been in a wreck with another car that was my fault and I've never made a claim on my insurance. Yet I still have to pay hundreds of dollars each year just to have the "privilege" to drive on the streets. JamesDean420 |

But I don't think the government will allow drone flyers to do that even if they pay a license fee. And what many forget is, terrorists flying a drone with 3 pounds of C4 strapped to it won't bother following any rules. For that reason, the only defense of offense: planes will need to be designed with drone detectors and fitted with drone killers. That's the only surefire way to protect them. "When they ban drones, only criminals will have drones" Heard anything similar before? Not even suggesting banning them I'm thinking Insurance and radio tracking I have to do that with my 26 million dollar aircraft, should you not have to follow same you are also In the air. You have a 26 million dollar jet, and you don’t know that there are already restrictions in place about hobbyist drone operation? |If you had one functioning braincell in your skull, you would realize this proposed “law” is to create low altitude airways for AMAZON to do drone delivery without interference from us mere mortals. Quit being obtuse. |
