Because blood transfusions are already approved by the Food and Drug Administration, Ambrosia is able to offer the service as an off-label treatment. Although the company has not yet settled on a commercial price for the procedure, participants involved in a 2017 trial program paid $8,000. The company plans to open its first clinic in New York City by the end of this year.
