But seriously and all politics aside:

If a SCOTUS nominee is proven to have lied during sworn testimony, should he/she be confirmed?
 Quoting: ArgleBargle

Of course not. But you can't prove someone lied based on he said- he said allegations, especially when new witnesses are coming out denying his binge-drinking.

Your side should forget about stopping Kavanaugh and focus on winning the Senate, otherwise you can look forward to RBG being replaced by someone much further to the right than him.

The quote says *if* Kavanaugh lied.

So do you agree with Flake and also with Lindsey Graham, who said:

"if a judge commits perjury *even once* he must be immediately impeached" ?
 Quoting: Jillian Snark

Of course. But you don't understand how difficult it is to prove someone intentionally lied.

Scott Pelley: If Judge Kavanaugh is shown to have lied to the committee, the nomination is over?

Sen. Flake and Sen. Coons: Oh, yes. I would think so.

Re: 60 Minutes interview: Senator Flake says says if FBI investigation finds Kavanaugh lied, nomination is over
Here he goes again:

Evidence verifying assault allegations would disqualify Kavanaugh, Flake says

Evidence that corroborates the sexual assault allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh would disqualify him from serving on the nation’s highest court, Sen. Jeff Flake said on Monday night, adding that he hoped the Senate could “move on from bitter partisanship” after the fight over the Supreme Court nomination.

“Any nominee who lies to the committee, that is disqualifying,” the Arizona Republican told reporters. “If there’s evidence that comes back that corroborates Christine Ford’s story, then all of us will look at it that way.”
