I'm almost done porting the first module of my TeleTrak software to Python. Apparently TeleTrak is also the name of some Air Force software that is used to track objects in orbit as well, so to avoid confusion I want to rename the new version.
In fact, I'm splitting TeleTrak up into three separate programs for each of its main features. The first will be a program for tracking objects beyond earth orbit including asteroids, comets and deep space probes and spacecraft. That's what I'm finishing up now and it needs a name before I release it on GitHub.
The second program will be the joystick and video-based tracking module for manual and automatic tracking of fast moving objects such as rockets, UFOs, whatever.
The final program will be dedicated for tracking earth orbiting satellites such as ISS, using their orbital elements and fine tuning using automatic video-based tracking.
The program will support the LX200 classic command set as well as ASCOM drivers for scopes that support the MoveAxis method.
I reserve the right to make the final decision on the name, no matter how popular some troll name might be (Tracker McTracker, Shill-o-matic, etc).
