Can someone do maths without using technology?

I figured out how to provide free food and recycling that supplied the building with free energy. Although, there would have had to be either volunteer helpers or robots to do some work.

I suppose it's the same as how we ended up living in the building to begin with, it seemed everyone moved in that wanted to live there. If we had produced surplus, then we could give the resources away or charge for it.
