I don’t know, I just keep getting the image of “another” earth being where your focus is, and that the resultant (harmonic?) would be the “third” (future, result).
So I don’t see how only 1 would be folded into the present. Are you saying there’s only one possible future?

I think more than quantity of possibilities, the 'future' is open to our interpretation. Meaning, it would be just perspective-noise until we interpret it.
From one hand, narrowing it down to just 2 (with one having already been made very relevant over the last 9 or more years) would make it easier to demonstrate.

Curiously, though, I wonder how much it might be the cause of some supernatural phenomena, such as crop circles or the mysterious cities appearing in China for all to see.
It may even explain where Neanderthals came from, or reports of mysterious underground cities. Folklore, of course. But perhaps one day we'll look at it with new eyes.
Unexplained phenomena like gravity and energy could be better-explained if our reality was actually 2 dimensions instead of 4. Perhaps even consciousness and dreams, which we still don't quite understand.
And perhaps the other world is harmless, though I’m not sure how much I know about it.

On the other, isn’t this exactly what the genius is doing? Placing your focus on “another place” where the thing of focus is already a complete thing, then the two places hash it out until a balance comes into play? Which is illustrated by a logical narrative?

Isn’t it only 2 earths while I’m here, focusing on you and your words, but ultimately there are infinity (- 1 :p) other possibilities to close from. Many more likely than others, some so foreign that I wouldn’t even “see” them from here (though it’s the same as “here” just arranged differently in space at this point of time).
Though ofc the overarching story is the same reinterpretation as through out history.

Yes, the same story again and again interpreted differently each time. Like how the sun and the 12 constellations, born on the winter solstice in Virgo, etc., became the 'Son of God' with 12 apostles, born on to a virgin on the winter solstice.
