Hard to see much stopping Tropical Storm Michael ... 30°C SST along track and the adjusted wind shear is probably an advantage in 2-days.

Maximum intensity likely depends on ability of vortex to organize in next 24-hours & establish a functional inner-core.

Thanks Luis! My parents are in Pensacola area and have a house on the water. Just talked to them and they are PREPARING and nervous. I may need to go down to help but this one won't give much notice ugh.

I heard Cat 1 on Wed. Pensecola or Tallahassee's area...could even hit above Pinellas. A nice breeze for hot Floridians.
Unfortunately may hit Carolinas with high water already, not good for them.

Here we go again .Repeat of situation from september Florence/Mangkhut .This time Michael/Luban.Interesting to see two storms form on opposite corners of the world Thread: #Oman on alert as tropical cyclone begins to form in Arabian Sea.GFS has it with 924 mb pressure cat 4-5!

And maby Leslie will make landfall here on the end of next week. If that's happen it will be the first hurricane landfall here!

I am in north east Fl. We are experiencing gusts in the 20-30mph range right now. Clouds are banding moving west. It looks like the entire east coast will feel this, but Florida will take the brunt once again.

It looks like the Atlantic will feed the northeast side and draw the eye close to Fl as it moves north. There will be lots of rain prior to the actual storm which is common with these gulf systems.

From experience I would say this will make cat 3 before landfall, although it will probably hit as cat 1 or 2. Mostly rain event with gusts in the 50-70 mph range where I live.

Kind of late in the season for a sit and spin monster so this should come and go with minimal impact. Temporary power outages, nothing new here.

Heading out now to top off gas cans just in case but not expecting to need the generator.

ohhh snap, euro has a borderline cat 4. Will have to check the hi-resolution charts that come out shortly, it will probably show it does in fact reach cat 4 prior to landfall.
