Why do celebrities (musicians, actors, etc) make so much god damn money? It's not like it's hard to do. Okay, playing an instrument not everyone can do that I get it. Or sing yeah, but do you think they deserve millions of dollars for doing it? I don't... Do you think they deserve to be worshiped as gods or some sort of heroes? Nope...I don't... I just think the whole thing is fucked. I don't think they deserve that power. The balance is not right there. I also think that perhaps people are starting to wake up to these facts. For instance, less people are going to the movies these days. Or going to concerts it seems. What do you think? Why do we worship these people like that? Will the world ever wake up from the spell that has placed upon them?  They make a lot of money, but they make a lot more money for other people. (promoters, networks, advertisers etc..) And once their public goes, they are dirt poor again. Everything comes at a price - nothing is free. Being rich and famous has a very expensive price tag. no private life everyone is out to get you Who is your friend, who is your enemy? High probability of giving in to temptations of every kind High probability of being black mailed high probability of depression and substance abuse etc.. etc.. Being famous is a health hazard! Never envy someone who has money because of fame!!! Thanks, was gonna post something similar They make a lot of money but nothing compared to what they make for other people Professional athletes used to make dog shit whilst the owners made a god damn fortune So why not pay em ? Although I do agree the hero worship thing is pretty disgusting The problem with paying them the ridiculous sums of money is because they become entitled and think they are better than the rest. They get these god egos or hero complexes. The money goes straight to their heads. They are not entitled to shit or are not better than you or I. But the money they make leads them to think that they are. True, but I would assume that person already had an ego to begin with The $ and status only makes it worse Hell, I run into people like that all the time, and they only pull in like 30-40 Gs a year ^_^ Some people just feel like their God's gift, butter wouldn't melt in their mouth etc
