If Gillum gets in, you can kiss your gun rights and guns goodby in Florida.
 Quoting: blackdogtango

Also, if Gillum gets in FL will have a state income tax!
 Quoting: tom49

And right now we have low salaries and nothing for the people.

We have open air crack markets and untouchable violent offenders while the Cops spend 85% of the day looking for seatbelt violations and weed smokers.

$200 a month for water.
$300 for power
Jobs paying $12.00 an hour for "managers".

The right has failed and out of misguided desperation, many might consider the socialists.

While it might get worse, people have been pushed to the limit.

The right said let them eat cake and those chickens are coming home to roost.
 Quoting: DavidKay001

Where the HELL do YOU live that you pay $200 a month for WATER?!?!?!?

Wanna compare prices??? Let's do that! Get some folks in here from other states....

What's YOUR electric bill, GA? NY? TX?? MD?? AZ??? CA?????

What type of job for managers is $20/hr?? Oh, riiiight! Manager of Wendy's! s226

Gillum is a straight-up socialist and made a mess of Tallahassee but has consistently been tracking several points ahead of DeSantis.

I learned the uselessness of polls during Trump's election but still -- it's worrisome. I can't imagine living here with Barack 2.0 destroying all the gains our state has made.

Any thoughts?
 Quoting: Starting Over

I am in the South.
Been here for 10 years.

Broward is a shithole.

I a $20 an hour Conservative.
That makes me just a hair above poor in South Florida.

Say what you want about the libs, at least their guy will give them crumbs to eat. Guys like Scott and Desantis dont give two shits about the working class voter.

Its all about the millionaires for them.

They only care about making it better for the rich while the left panders to the criminal class.
The only thing they are good on is guns but I cant feed my family a glock nor can we live in one.

You have good reason to fear this election, I suspect the left will take hold because the right has not done anything to protect the working class other than to ensure there are many low paying slave jobs out there.

Not everyone can be a Doctor or Lawyer, do we deserve to starve or live on the street?

The COL is South FL is as high as NY but the pay is stuck in 1997.

You see lines of old and working people queued up at CSL plasma all day long just to afford food.

Florida is a shithole and I cant wait to GTFO.
 Quoting: DavidKay001

20 an hour isn't rich but it damn sure isn't poor. You are blaming R's when the area you live in is clearly run by Dems.
That's your problem. Dems always drive up the cost of living. Always.
 Quoting: Nonfeminazi

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ THIS IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE.

I can (and HAVE) lived very nicely on $20/hr in RURAL FL. Far from the big, corrupt cities of Miami/Ft. Lauderdale ( and YES, I HAVE lived in both of them) - chose to LEAVE to live where life is rational, slower and (more) honest politicians.....NOT to say they are totally honest, but not as bad as the SE.

Look at Q's indictments list. Almost NONE in my area!

you need to get the message out to Cubans

Simply ask them do you want Communist Cuba in America.

 Quoting: jake

I am Cuban, the problem is that this generation has not seen capitalism as a good thing, when a 9 to 5 wont cover food or bills, they ask why work when I will not have enough?
Might as well be a bum and not have enough but watch TV all day or hang at the beach.

The left is horrible. The right is only a hair better.
 Quoting: DavidKay001

This is what I was going to say.

YOUNGER Cubans did not "fight the good fight" their parents/grandparents fought to become capitalists.

Socialism, democrats leading everyone to "WELFARE" system has ruined the dream for many younger Americans who now must work 60 hours/week to have a decent standard of living.

Re: Floridians -- really worried about the gubernatorial race
And that hurricane just hit a pretty conservative area if Im not mistaken
 Quoting: QCluminati

I know it is too soon, and I feel bad getting all poliical so fast, BUT, I'm guessing that DeSantis just lost about 50K votes. That's 50K people who were very likely to vote, and they would have voted for him. From St Marks, Carrabelle, Apalachicola, Port St Joe, Mexico Beach, and Panama City, I don't see how these people are going to stick around in their towns and vote in 3 weeks.

The other guy, he probably just lost about 500 votes.
 Quoting: MrNatural

Absentee ballots if nothing else. The panhandle in particular is very red and very active. They're not going to take a chance like that.
I did it. I did it on purpose. And I'll do it again.

Re: Floridians -- really worried about the gubernatorial race
I live in the Tampa area since 2004. Myself and people that have migrated here in the past 25 years do so to escape the cost of living in states like NJ and NY.

The state is 1/3 seniors living on a fixed income. We all know if a radical lefty gets in as governor, taxes will explode and cost of living will sky rocket.

The only way Gillum gets in would be by massive voter fraud.

Florida state house and senate is 2/3rds republican. The state and local elections run very conservative. Only in federal elections is Florida a swing state.

Latest polls have Gillum only 1 point ahead which is within margin of error.

If I was betting, DeSantis will win.

BTW, I've been seeing several California plates lately, gee I wonder why?
 Quoting: Remedial_Rebel

I sure hope DeSantis wins. I can't believe it's so close.
 Quoting: Truth Reaper

They keep increasing the numbers of working poor people, its going to be close this year. In a decade, it wont be close.
Conservatives will be run out of everywhere due to the let them eat cake attitude on salaries. The left will just use violence and hand outs to manage us.

You have millions of kids growing up poor under working-class families in Florida, they are being trained to hate capitalism. In contrast, my God Daughter's in NYC cant wait to start working. They see the benefit of work there while Florida practices work for slave pay or die in the Sun.
 Quoting: DavidKay001

I agree that poor blue voters are increasing, notably
from Puerto Rico hurricane refugees. But they are offset by people migrating from high tax states which now include California.

New numbers show exodus from California

Sharon Robinson, sales manager at Johnson Storage and Moving, says she's seen the local exodus pick up the last few years, led by residents fed up with housing costs and taxes headed to lower-cost states like Nevada, Arizona and Texas. Other states favored by Californians include Colorado, Idaho, Florida, Washington and Oregon.

What has failed is the Dem party you seem to support, although you won't admit it. That area you live in is heavily Dem. They are parasites that bring everyone else down, including how far your dollar goes. Move to a different area and you might get a different perspective.

Central Florida is the same..and Republican ran

North Central Florida is very nice. Not a whole lot of rich but we get along fine and love this America.

Florida is already a blue state, you just haven't accepted that reality yet. I'm getting out of here soon.
 Quoting: fluffycat

Completely wrong. It's a red state, but the media broadcasts from the few blue cities. Media blue, most people red.
