Wouldn't surprise me if people were selling their coin in order to get hard goods or to cover losses elsewhere.

Crypto is the epitome of fiat: the only reason it has value is because we agree there is value in the privacy it offers. If things go tits up then I would rather try to have a pocket of gold than a pocket of crypto numbers (although admittedly a pocket of bullets may beat them both if things get bad enough).

One day doesn't make a concerning crash though. If things don't rebound then it's time to dust off the plans and see where you stand. October is a traditional month for market events so the timing is right for it to happen.
