Quoting: Dr. Deplorable Astromut [ link to phys.org (secure)] Scientists have figured out how to manipulate nearly unseen specks in the air and use them to create 3-D images that are more realistic and clearer than holograms, according to a study in Wednesday's journal Nature . The study's lead author, Daniel Smalley, said the new technology is "printing something in space, just erasing it very quickly." Read more at: [ link to phys.org (secure)] Now think if they are just now announcing the tech, means they have had it secretly for years. The ISS is just an airplane with a hologram projector attached to it. GG Quoting: JamesDean420 Cool story pothead. Want to explain how that "hologram" blocks moonlight and is magically at the correct altitude, velocity and size? Holograms don't block background light like that.
