Why do some people one-star threads for no reason?

As with anything. Look at the situation. They 1 star you and you complain.

Well done. This thread achieves the point of 1 starring your thread.

Creating Hate. Creating Posts. Driving $$$! Spreading chaos by default. Triggering in the process.

I always have a reason. Examples:

Only a video in the opening post with no summary explanation and no warning of [VIDEO] in the title.

When a 4th or 5th thread is posted on same topic that already has had multiple Threads on same topic and even pinned the day before. Add to and bump the best existing thread, don’t start a new one, you’re missing out on all the insights and comments previously offered.

When the title looks interesting but there is unrelated or no useful content in the opening post.

When the opening post reads like a personal message to someone and not intended for the whole forum.

When I click on a thread and no content except smilies and memes on the entire first page.

Trolling.

Same reason they leave anonymous red karma.


Not about debating or discussing, just assaulting.

They don't. Not to me anyway. I look at the thread topic, if it interests me, I read it, regardless of stars. I don't think I've ever one starred anyone. I either leave a 5* or nothing.

There's always a reason. Maybe a shitty trivial one but a reason just the same.

Some people might feel that your "news" is propaganda.

The stars (and karma) really don't matter.

Using the word "proof" when what is meant is "possible connection" or theory.

Completely incoherent and unreadable post.

I won't leave red karma, unless there's a personal attack. Sloppiness, inaccuracy and simple disagreement don't warrant that. Insults and inflamatory remarks, different story.

I have never one-starred anyones thread.

There are bots that search for key words. If the thread doesn't contain their agenda verbiage, it gets one star.

Control the agenda = control the minds.

I wondered the same thing but realized everyone has their own perspective. Even if something is universally true there will be someone that doesn't see it that way.

One star is better than no star.

I one star threads that are shit to let others know that it is a shit post.

Examples of shit posts:

>no content
>spamming a link to a hoax website or another forum
>posters who want to talk about their genitalia
>posters who want to talk about relationship garbage
>posters who are obviously trolling in their OP or in their responses to other posts in the thread
>racist provocations
>long ass video without a summary of its contents
>obvious leftist shilling or trolling

99% of red karma is anonymous. Everybody's doing it.
