Oh for fucksake, apparently faking hoaxers Channel no longer exists on YouTube. Good job YouTube you assholes. Well you're just going to have to trust my word on it then because I can't give you a link since apparently it's no longer on YouTube. The fucking bastards apparently removed his channel and with it the hard proof that he was the one that first created this video before it was stolen and that he fully admitted it was a hoax. He even made fun of people for falling for this video after it had been stolen and claimed as real.
Quoting: Dr. Deplorable Astromut

was such a good channel tho.

For example, a video from "a manned expedition to Mars" was presented as "Proof!?" of a secret mission and posted to the @@@ forum.[5][6][7] Apparently, the @@@ posters ignored a previous thread about TFH's work, which prompted TFH to declare The Wheels on the BusWikipedia's W.svg the official music theme of @@@.[8]

I'm calling BS. 158 days away from earth on a one way trajectory. Three grown men need a lot of calories and water per day and unless NASA hooked a couple of semi tractor trailers to the bumper of the space craft for storage, then how did the astronauts survive for so long. Gotta believe that this is a hoax. Probably green or blue screened the piss out of old NASA footage.

It's gone, the fucking bastards removed it. Gotta protect all that delicious ad revenue from all the people who keep stealing his goddamn videos while claiming they're real. YouTube probably gets more watch time out of that than they do the original videos he made.

Ironically, I wouldn't be surprised if they banned him for filing a bunch of overturned takedown requests against other people for stealing his work; the system is rigged against the average honest person. If you don't take the person to court YouTube will automatically restore the stolen video after a certain number of days if they file a counterclaim. Do that too many times and they'll ban you.

I'm sort of having a deja-vu moment here. Any chance it has been posted on this forum before? I'm wondering if it was previously debunked or something.

I hope it is legit.

But then again, I keep thinking that they are trying to get past the Van Allen Belt now and sending animals to test new space craft? How did they do it back then (for the Moon and Mars)?

Edit: @Astromut, can they get past the Van Allen Belt? Do they really go through the "Donut Hole" part to escape Earth?

Read my posts, it's an obvious hoax. It was A FULLY ADMITTED HOAX when it was first put on YouTube! I can't calculate an expected VAB dose for this mission since the mission doesn't actually exist and there is no trajectory or spacecraft density to input.

So how many pieces of paper did they take with them to write on for each day?
Quoting: keybored

The papers would act as a slate for the camera rolls.

They would only need to take film out the window of leaving Earth and arriving at Mars.

Other than that there would be nothing to film except the crew itself which we won't see for obvious reasons.
Quoting: Regal Beast

Wouldn't it have been better then to use an actual slate?

Shows a look back on Earth and the moon, an orbit of what looks like Mars. Looks pretty real to me.

Yes I saw it before when the faking hoaxer produced it and fully admitted it was a hoax and then was stolen by lying bastards who claimed to be conspiracy theorists but really just try to make ad money off of other people's videos. Fuck every single asshole who has ever stolen this video. They should all be forcibly removed from YouTube and banned from ever using the internet ever again. These people are literal scum, they have no morals and no qualms about stealing other people's footage for their own benefit and lying about what it contains.

CGI effects are very convincing these days...and VERY expensive and time consuming.

Have you ever stayed to see the end credits of a Marvel or other movie heavily reliant on CGI?

There are hundreds if not a thousand people working on post effects producing segments in effects houses across the world to get those movies done.

I think the video OP posted was all done "in camera", meaning it was shot without such effects using existing footage as stated by Astro.

OK.

If it's fake I wouldn't even know how to fake that it's so good.

It's real pictures of Mars and there seems to be real depth to the terrain.

If it's real it's probably 8mm film taken by the crew. Edit: Just expanded the description and it says 8mm.

Most of the UFO videos out there are easy to debunk but this one is harder to debunk.

If it's fake that is really impressive digital work.

The person who made it admitted from the outset that it was fake. His channel is literally called the faking hoaxer. It's a decent effort but to the train dye it contains multiple obvious errors and reuses well-known popular photos and existing spacecraft like the International Space Station. I can break some of that down for you later if you like, but trust me it is a hoax and it's made by a channel dedicated to making various hoax videos for fun.

Did YouTube also shut down the TFH homepage that had it's last entry, just the TFH logo, in January 2017 and is on sale since one year?

I can imagine a thousand reasons why, under certain circumstances, I would erase as much of the traces I left in the internet as possible. But if you have evidence for your claim that YouTube shut down the channel, it would be nice if you post it.

But to stay on topic: There are several posts on a competing forum (may not be mentioned here) from 2010 that show screenshot from the video and the correlating photos of Apollo, ISS, aso. - thus, as you say, definitely fake.

Astromutt has spoken. Yep. I figured it was Skylab mixed with other stuff. We did do well known stuff that could work in this video. I thought the frame showing at the beginning of the video was probably skylab (the one with "mars" in the background. By the way, I'd like to post something interesting. Google Earth of Death Valley would easily work for a Mars "space video", scroll around on this terrain, any foreign "world" could be faked there.

I think this was part of a British TV series.

In the shot where the moon was in the foreground and the earth was in the distance, the wrong side of the moon is showing. If the earth and moon were ever in this position, we would be able to see the backside of the moon from Earth.
