I don't have a problem with the word witch, because I think in denotative language, because I was a linguistics major. Albeit, the masses think in terms of connotative usage.

It's like the old English word wisard. Wisard simply denotes a wise person. I have no problem with people being wisards. I wish there were many more, because what we have today are retards.

But if you expect me to suffer a kashephah witch gladly, don't get your hopes up.

I tend to not give a fuck if people think I'm a witch/freak/devil worshipper or not. They can think as they like. Whatever helps them sleep at night. I've got more important shit to worry about.

If the world thought in pure denotations, you could quite honestly render Proverbs 14:1 thus:

The Witch (Chokmah) is the woman who built up her House, but Malefica (Ivveleth) wrecked it with her hands.

But then, the world doesn't think in denotative language. I'm all for the Witch if you refer to Chokmah. I am not, however, any admirer of her shadow sister Ivveleth.

I'm doing some translation work on a Bible edition for people who think in denotations. I think it will clear up a lot of the confusion with some of these nebulous terms like witch, which today really means nothing because it can connote so many things. Let's get our language a bit more precise.

If you have an herb garden and enjoy extracting essence for health benefits, I don't think we're going to hang you anytime soon. That's not exactly what the problem was in the first place. :-)

Personally I don't have a problem with witches

My best friend is one and my family are descended from them (some of them practice)

The only thing is, I don't fully understand why they do the things they do

I just accept them for who they are and their own choices

Just like all people they can be infuriating and ignorant at times
