If you take the denotative meaning of witch, a wise and witty person, there is no problem.

If by witch you mean a gastromancer, necromancer, eggastrimuthos, qasam qesem, khabar kheber, kashaph, nahash, Ba'al ob and Yidde'oni, well, then we're talking about something different entirely, aren't we....

So, you will have to rephrase the question so I will know whether you refer to the denotative, or connotative meaning.
